Welcome to SeeFood! This Privacy Policy explains how Salty Tech ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the SeeFood mobile application (the "App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. SeeFood is designed to be privacy-first. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

A. Camera and Photos

To function as a food scanner, the App requires access to your device's camera.

• How we use it: We use the camera strictly to capture images of food labels, ingredients lists, and barcodes.
• Data Processing: Images you capture are temporarily sent to our secure backend servers to perform AI-based text and nutritional analysis.
• Storage: We do not permanently store your photos on our servers. The analysis results are sent back to your device, and the original images are processed ephemerally. Scanned history and results are saved locally on your device storage.

B. Usage Data and Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to help us improve the App's performance and understand how features are being used. This may include crash reports, device model, operating system version, and general app activity. This data does not personally identify you.

C. Payment Information

If you choose to purchase a Monthly or Annual Premium subscription, your payment is processed directly and securely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play).

• We use third-party tools to manage subscription entitlements.
• We do not collect, process, or store your credit card details or billing information on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the minimal information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the core functionality of SeeFood (analyzing ingredients and barcodes).
• Process your subscription status to unlock Premium features.
• Fix bugs and optimize app performance.
• Respond to your customer support inquiries.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymous or aggregated data with trusted service providers strictly to operate our App:

• Cloud Processing: For temporary AI image processing and crash reporting.
• Payment Processors: To validate and sync your subscription status.
• Open Food Facts: When you scan a barcode, we query the public Open Food Facts database. We only send the barcode number; no personal data is attached to this query.

4. Data Security and Local Storage

Your scan history, dietary warning preferences, and saved food items are stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, this local data will be deleted as well. We use industry-standard encryption for all data transmitted between the App and our backend processing servers.

5. Children's Privacy

SeeFood does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to send any personal information about yourself to us.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
